 What can I say now?

Get the job done and get it done good.

No amount of words (flattery, reasons or excuses) can make a 'bad job' good.  

Just do the best you have to offer and keep at it.

If something goes bad then be responsible for it, don't hide the matter it will make you feel worse.

When you think something has gone bad for you remember it's a good lesson to learn from!
